Rhyme Time

TCPL's Rhyme Time is on every Tuesday at 10 AM. We will sing songs, learn sign language, and play with our friends! Come visit and make new friends!

Move at Noon

Take a break from your workday and join us at the library for Move at Noon! This weekly lunchtime exercise program will help you recharge and have fun. Each Tuesday from 12:00 to 1 PM, we’ll use the library’s collection of classic exercise DVDs to explore a variety of fitness styles—from Zumba to yoga, Pilates, and more.  No registration is required—just bring your water bottle, wear comfortable clothes, and get ready to Move at Noon!

We also invite local exercise experts to join the fun! If you’re a fitness professional interested in leading a session, we’d love to hear from you. Please email natashanall@tcplibrary.org for more information.

Game On! for Teens

Teens (12-18) are invited to come to the Community Room for snacks and games! TCPL has 2 Nintendo Switches available for use, but teens can also bring their own. Board games and more will be available for playing! Teens are welcome to check out games and submit new game ideas to Antonia Bottoms.

Tailored Tuesday

Tailored Tuesdays is a program designed just for men who want to learn more about self-care. Each Tuesday in April, Brent Loy—barber at Hair Designs and host of Community Showcase—will be at the library to share expert tips on looking and feeling your best. From shaving techniques to professionalism, Brent will cover a range of self-care topics. Check our online calendar for session details, and stop by for the topics that interest you!

Chair Yoga

Join Cheryl Crenshaw for Chair Yoga, a low-impact exercise program suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Sessions are held in the Taylor County Public Library Community Room. Experience the benefits of movement and relaxation in a supportive environment!

Upcycle Crafting

Upcycle Crafting is for kids and teens (10-17 years old). In this monthly series, we'll re-use everyday items like styrofoam, milk jugs, old eyeshadow pallets, and more to create cute crafts. We'll meet monthly with the help of Ladelthia Underwood, an amazing artist and crafter.

Brown Bag Book Club

Join us for Brown Bag Book Club, a lunch-time monthly book club open to everyone in Taylor County! We meet on the first Thursday of each month from 12:00 to 1:00 PM in the TCPL Community Room. Bring your lunch or partake in light refreshments and enjoy lively discussions on a variety of books. Books are available for checkout at the library or through Libby. Come share your thoughts, meet fellow readers, and discover your next favorite book!

Homeschool Hangout

Homeschool Hangout is for families who homeschool their kids/teens and want to hang out with other families. The whole family is invited to craft, play games, and take part in each month's seasonal activity. This program meets in the Community Room. 

Pokémon Club

Calling all Pokémon fans! Show off your collection—whether it’s in the apps or on cards—at our Pokémon meetup!

Family Nature Night

Family Nature Night continues at Clay Hill's newest research building. Come join us for a story, a craft, and Amy Berry's amazing knowledge of the nature around us!

Story Hour

Join Children's Librarian, Antonia Bottoms, for stories and activities each Friday in the Children's Room. This program is for all kids!

UofL Health and Wellness Group

For individuals with chronic illnesses, medical conditions, or disabilities seeking to network with peers and gain insight on how to achieve a healthy lifestyle. Come and join us! This group is led by Carrie Crockett, MSSW, CSW with the UofL Health Stroke System of Care in the TCPL Community Room.

Date Night

Connect with your partner in some new and fun ways with TCPL's new monthly Date Night! No need to find a sitter, bring your kids (ages 4 and up) for a simultaneous children's program hosted in the Children's Library by Librarian Antonia Bottoms. Mark your calendar and be sure to sign-up when registration opens.
