Kaleidoscope Gardening

Kara Campbell from the Taylor County Extension Office and Children's Librarian Antonia Bottoms lead this monthly gardening program for kids at TCPL.

Good Earth Garden Club

Join us for the Good Earth Garden Club, a monthly program where gardening enthusiasts and beginners alike can explore the joys of cultivating plants and using them creatively at home. Each session covers a variety of topics, from growing and maintaining your garden to incorporating fresh vegetation into recipes and decorations. Kara Campbell, with the Taylor County Extension Office, leads this monthly gardening program at TCPL in our Community Room. Please sign up to attend.

Take a break from your workday and join us at the library for Move at Noon! This weekly lunchtime exercise program will help you recharge and have fun. Each Tuesday from 12:00 to 12:45 PM, we’ll use the library’s collection of classic exercise DVDs to explore a variety of fitness styles—from Zumba to yoga, Pilates, and more.  No registration is required—just bring your water bottle, wear comfortable clothes, and get ready to Move at Noon!

We also invite local exercise experts to join the fun! If you’re a fitness professional interested in leading a session, we’d love to hear from you. Please email natashanall@tcplibrary.org for more information.

Veterans Outreach

Veterans Outreach meets the fourth Wednesday each month. Benefits Field Representative Kevin Kearns will help you file claims for veteran disability compensation, non-service connected pensions, survivor benefits, and educational benefits.

Wondering if you could qualify for disability benefits? A Veteran does not have to be completely physically disabled in order to receive disability benefits. If you know a Veteran that ever had to go to sick call while on active duty or had any injuries or medical issues while on active duty that still affect them today, they could be eligible to receive monthly compensation.
