Locations: Taylor County Public Library Age Group: Adults Program Type: Health & Wellness Veterans Outreach Veterans Outreach meets the fourth Wednesday each month. Benefits Field Representative Kevin Kearns will help you file claims for veteran disability compensation, non-service connected pensions, survivor benefits, healthcare, and educational benefits. Wondering if you could qualify for disability benefits? A Veteran does not have to be completely physically disabled in order to receive disability benefits. If you know a Veteran that ever had to go to sick call while on active duty or had any injuries or medical issues while on active duty that still affect them today, they could be eligible to receive monthly compensation.

Locations: Taylor County Public Library Age Group: Teens Program Type: After School, Games & Competition Game On! for Teens Teens (12-18) are invited to come to the Community Room for snacks and games! TCPL has 2 Nintendo Switches available for use, but teens can also bring their own. Board games and more will be available for playing! Teens are welcome to check out games and submit new game ideas to Antonia Bottoms. Event Details: Hey, Teens! Ready to level up your New Year? If gaming more is on your resolution list, we’ve got you covered! Snacks and games all provided! Grab your friends and come hang out—all teens welcome!	This event is in the "Kids" group. Arts and Crafts Corner for Kids 3:30pm - 4:30pm Kids This event is in the "Kids" group. Locations: Taylor County Public Library Age Group: Kids Program Type: After School, Crafts Arts and Crafts Corner Introducing Arts & Crafts Corner! This monthly program combines storytelling and creative crafting for kids of all ages. Event Details: Join us for a brand-new after-school program kicking off on Wednesday, January 22nd, from 3:30-4:30 PM! This month’s craft: bird feeder pinecones! This class is perfect for anyone wanting to learn American Sign Language. No experience or prior knowledge of American Sign Language is required. This event is in the "Kids" group. Locations: Taylor County Public Library Age Group: Kids Program Type: After School, Gardening Kaleidoscope Gardening Kara Campbell from the Taylor County Extension Office and Children's Librarian Antonia Bottoms lead this monthly gardening program for kids at TCPL. Event Details: Kaleidoscope Gardening returns Thursday, January 23rd! This month, Kara Campbell from the Taylor County Extension Office will teach us how to successfully propagate house plants! Kids will receive pots, dirt, and a plant to grow!
