Rhyme Time

TCPL's Rhyme Time is on every Tuesday at 10 AM. We will sing songs, learn sign language, and play with our friends! Come visit and make new friends!

Chair Yoga

Join Cheryl Crenshaw for Chair Yoga, a low-impact exercise program suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Sessions are held in the Taylor County Public Library Community Room. Experience the benefits of movement and relaxation in a supportive environment!

Story Hour

Join Children's Librarian, Antonia Bottoms, for stories and activities each Friday in the Children's Room. This program is for all kids!

Good Earth Garden Club

Join us for the Good Earth Garden Club, a monthly program where gardening enthusiasts and beginners alike can explore the joys of cultivating plants and using them creatively at home. Each session covers a variety of topics, from growing and maintaining your garden to incorporating fresh vegetation into recipes and decorations. Kara Campbell, with the Taylor County Extension Office, leads this monthly gardening program at TCPL in our Community Room. Please sign up to attend. 

Weekend Edition

Join us for The Weekend Edition! A relaxed book club for college-age adults and older who love great reads and conversation without the weekday rush. Each month features a genre theme, and participants can read any book within that genre before joining us to share and discuss. 

We meet the second Saturday of each month from 10–11 AM in the TCPL Community Room—come whenever it fits your schedule and enjoy a great bookish chat!

Cookbook Club

Love to cook and share recipes? Join us for Cookbook Club, a monthly gathering for food enthusiasts to explore new recipes, share dishes, and mingle with fellow food lovers.

Move at Noon

Take a break from your workday and join us at the library for Move at Noon! This weekly lunchtime exercise program will help you recharge and have fun. Each Tuesday from 12:00 to 1 PM, we’ll use the library’s collection of classic exercise DVDs to explore a variety of fitness styles—from Zumba to yoga, Pilates, and more.  No registration is required—just bring your water bottle, wear comfortable clothes, and get ready to Move at Noon!

We also invite local exercise experts to join the fun! If you’re a fitness professional interested in leading a session, we’d love to hear from you. Please email natashanall@tcplibrary.org for more information.

Creativebug Crafting

This program is perfect for craft enthusiasts interested in crafting at the library with other patrons. We meet in the TCPL Community Room. Creativebug is not only a craft program, it's also an online resource! Visit Creativebug with your Taylor County Public Library Card here.

Book Swap

Come by Harden Coffee the second Tuesday of the month between 2 and 4 PM with your gently used book donations and grab a book or two to keep. 

Game On! for Teens

Teens (12-18) are invited to come to the Community Room for snacks and games! TCPL has 2 Nintendo Switches available for use, but teens can also bring their own. Board games and more will be available for playing! Teens are welcome to check out games and submit new game ideas to Antonia Bottoms.

Makers Movie Night

Join us for Maker's Movie Night, a gathering for crafters, creators, and makers of all kinds! Bring your own project—whether it's knitting, painting, scrapbooking, or any other craft—and enjoy a movie while you work. Movies will begin promptly at 5:30 PM, so arrive early to set up your project and grab a snack. This program is open to adults, 18+. No registration required—just drop in and enjoy!

Tailored Tuesday

Tailored Tuesdays is a program designed just for men who want to learn more about self-care. Each Tuesday in April, Brent Loy—barber at Hair Designs and host of Community Showcase—will be at the library to share expert tips on looking and feeling your best. From shaving techniques to professionalism, Brent will cover a range of self-care topics. Check our online calendar for session details, and stop by for the topics that interest you!
